When I first road tested my new Savage it felt fine, until I took my first trip of over 75 miles and found out that my butt hurt and I did not think that I would ever ride 100 miles on that bike again.
I made a custom saddle to place over the seat and held in place with only one bungie cord. It was made out of two layers of 3/8 inch felt sandwiching a piece of tapered foam. The felt, foam, felt combination was glued on the inside edges and around the outside edge with clear RTV silicon, so as to hold the three layers together.
The foam is thicker in the front and provides a front lift to fill in the original seat notch. This alows me to position my butt in more than one position while riding.
I do not get sore anymore and have driven : two 250 mile trips, four 300 mile trips and four 530 mile trips per day!!
